Chips & French fries, especially sold in bags gain the -ina/-ine suffix instead of just 'patata/e fritta/e' (fried potatoes). Baby potatoes cooked or otherwise are called 'patatine' + 'novelle' (new/fresh) though. I prefer papitas: sounds cuter and remind me of mameshiba veggies
