Take this painting for example- people look at it and immediately compliment it and ask why I don’t do more realistic portraits. The reason is because I painted this at the utter pinnacle of my decade-long case of untreated depression.

I didn't know Kichi as well as many of my other online friends, but she was one of the very first artists I ever looked up to, and continued to idolize to this day. She's no longer with us physically, but she'll 100% live on through the art of those she inspired.
