Here’s another concept for Neighborly Monsters. This is Joel, a young boy with a big imagination and inquisitiveness about new discoveries. His curiosity is what’s leads him to find out about Lyra and her family.

Since I’m applying to NICK I wanted to show you guys some new concepts for a show pitch.
Neighborly Monsters, would center on a young boy who discovers his neighbor and her family across the street are monsters. This is Lyra Thrope, a tomboy werewolf and unwitting friend to him.

So yesterday at work I helped with a birthday. All the kids were painting monkeys so I joined in and made this monkey and gave it to the birthday kid, they lit up with excitement on getting to keep it.

Yes I know I’m a few days behind, blame motivation and working a lot, but I at least wanted to do some character art, meet Jingle-San. He’s a reinterpreted design from about 4 years ago now with my mafia/yakuza idea that I never took anywhere. #characterdesign
