In New York around 1925 American photographer Francis Bruguière took a lot of classic shots of Weimar cabaret star (and Anita Berber's manager and lover) Sebastian Droste, as prep for a movie, 'The Way', that never came to fruition. Droste died in 1927.
Nigel Henderson was a great street photographer. This is one of several terrific pictures he took of his neighbour's son, young Peter Samuels, when Henderson was living at 46 Chisenhale Road, Bethnal Green.
