As part of his preliminary work on the #bristolPoeticCity comic, @UWEBristol graduate Willem Hampson is drawing character sketches to develop ideas for his illustrations. The comic is due to be published at the end of the summer and will be distributed across the city for free.
This year we’re marking the tragically short life and great work of Thomas Chatterton. Wordsworth called him ‘the marvellous Boy’ in his poem Resolution and Independence. Here’s a working sketch by Willem Hampson of Chatterton which will be in our book published in the summer 3/3
