New 2 hour sketch and I used more acrylic in the under painting with the chalk pastels this time. “Abstract landscape”.

New 1 hour, small chalk pastel and conte drawing on watercolour paper. I wanted to see if I could make the composition closet to my last series. It definitely feels comfortable.

Very small, 30 minute sketch, using conte and chalk pastel. With this drawing I was really pushing the layers. I am finally getting the results I want.

New, 1 1/2 hour chalk pastel & conte sketch on paper. Rant: you know how no medium is perfect right? pastels are SO limiting when it comes to colour mixing. I am enjoying the speed and the intimacy of smaller works with no drying time.
