Nagisa had to fight to get her partner back in tears. You could feel how raw everything was in every frame.
He was director at the height of Yes! Precure 5's mid season which had a similar setup to this one. Put the Precure in a particularly uncomfortable situation that sends them into distress.
Cure Black for once, was alone. Cure White slowly fading away.
There's actually a lot in this episode alone which makes it one of the best in the series.
Ep.41 having Nagisa and Honoka reflect on past events and Nagisa's promise to be by Honoka's side no matter what led to this episode.
So what would happen if Nagisa *wasn't* by her side?
Unfortunately the F-14 gets shot down itself by the end of the cut.
