31. nier:automata - my first dive into yoko taro's mind palace and one hell of an experience. the whole thing is beautifully atmospheric and saturated with poignant anecdotes about the futility of war, but what really drives it home is its ending. 8.5/10

28. hustle cat - very cute and funny vn that ended up not quite being what i expected (in a good way)! the characters had great appeal, though some routes were better than others and the final, secret route left some questions unanswered. 7/10

26. hyper light drifter - the aesthetic of this game was phenomenal, and the progression provides a good challenge. i loved its reliance on environmental storytelling but did think the narrative and level design were a bit needlessly obtuse at times. 7/10
