#MuseumsUnlocked During 'Little Ice Age' 1300-1870 Thames froze over. #Winter frost fairs held from 1608 (#1), and (#2 1684, #3 1715) featured rides, games, printing presses, ox/mutton roasts, taverns, music, poets and gingerbread (#4 from last fair 1814). From @MuseumofLondon

#MuseumsUnlocked Early royal #portraits not renowned for realism, but funeral effigy of Henry VII said to be unusually lifelike: probably by Torrigiano and taken from a desk mask (1509). Compare with effigy of Catherine de Valois wife of Henry V, d. 1437. Both @wabbey galleries.
