Week 9 of Studio Ghibli Saturdays and HOLY SHIT Laputa: Castle in the Sky is A MASTERPIECE. Porco Rosso threw me off last week (I know it's playing on a 'sexist pig' trope but jeez) but the plot development, the technology / nature commentary, and the score for this was stunning. https://t.co/kzorShymzq

Mo ball games in our new adopted 'garden' i.e. me and Laurie playing velcro ball in a small sheltered area of publicly accessible grass away from the road, any footpaths, houses etc. roughly a 10 minute walk from our flat.

Week 5 and we are at the PONYO portion of our Studio Ghibli Saturdays. It's a fave. After this we're mostly into unwatched territory, so look forward to checking out some of the lesser known titles as lockdown continues. Does anyone have a favourite?

Been trying to observe the phenomena of our brain multiplying negative feelings this week. You know when you're anxious about being anxious, frustrated about being frustrated, sad about being sad? Starting to just feel the feeling; observe but not feed their capacity to multiply.

The walk weirdly turned into my practice in action, a walking residency, drawing a line onto the map. I've been thinking for a while about my practice as a place, a town, both drawing & walking as thinking in motion, and it felt like those pieces started to make a lot more sense.
