I’ve been re-watching/talking about Ginga Nagareboshi Gin and Ginga Densetsu Weed with @opellisms.art lately and it’s driven me to do a sketch of an old OC I would draw over 10 years ago when I first watched the series.

Sam is the polar opposite of Nikki. She's the braun to Nikki's brains. Hot headed and stubborn she often acts before thinking. She can also be skeptical and doesn't trust anyone at first, if at all. She does (albeit begrudgingly) befriend a corgi-like ghost puppy named Puck.

Nikki is both utterly fascinated by the paranormal and terrified by it. Even a little hound-like shadow puppy, who she names Ghost, was enough to scare her at first. Despite this, she's intelligent, & reliable. She can think of ways to get out of the worst of situations.

One more Shapeshifter before changing universes! Gio is a spotted hyena shifter. He also does the dirty work for werewolves. Unlike Natalia who toys with her victims, Gio wastes no time and is completely emotionally detached as any assassin should be.

Oliver is a Canada Lynx shifter. His father was also a lynx shifter while his mother is human. After his father was killed by werewolves, Oliver left home to keep his mother from harm. Soon after he met Harper and the other shifters and formed his own clan.

Harper is a white tailed deer shifter, however, she's the only one who didn't naturally inherit her abilities. It's actually a curse from a bad run-in with a witch. Being the only prey animal, she's very protected by her friends/clan who change into predatory animals.

Natalia is Gio's younger sister but she's twice as intimidating as him. She's a striped hyena shifter. As a kid she was taken by the werewolves and trained to do their dirty work in taking out other shapeshifters. Reason why she and Gio join them is to later be revealed.

Zeke needs more love, dang. He's another shapeshifter (African Wild Dog), who is Alexis' partner in crime and Gio's bane of existence. His hobbies include sports, skateboarding mostly, and getting his stupid ass into trouble. He's also got two moms as a little fun fact.

Alexis is a shapeshifter who turns into a black bear. She's a huge music fan, the louder the better. Natalia was her childhood "friend" until they had a nasty fight, resulting in why she wears a single arm warmer, though she also chose to just wear one. Thinks it looks cooler.
