-Shanarene the dryad gifted Swindle with a new staff by merging his existing one [the mushroom farm] with the old druid’s thorny one: The end result being a luscious Staff of Woodlands <3

-Preparations were made at the village for the tree’s onslaught.

-A swarm of twig blights was eventually pushed back and the team reached the enraged tree.

-The dryad, designated Shanarene, agreed to help the group find her errant and currently homicidal host tree.

-Swindle had reached a state of exhaustion due to flouncing around in a cold stream. So a quick return was needed.

-The team as a whole is still getting used to the game mechanics, but there are some fun perks.
-Raising shield being one of them. Especially when trying to fend off an angry Grauladon.

-After clearing out the awakened trees [sorry], vine blights, and peeping tom sunflowers, the team was able to examine the hut
-There was a crevice with sad sounds emanating from it
-Mushroom chan sent down in bat form
-Much screaming ensued

The palette in my examples are comparatively saturated, but I am very confident that I can emulate the style you want.
I am really digging the mood/atmosphere of your game.

-Much branch crunching ensued
-Reached a suspiciously dilapidated hut
-Sent Mushroom chan to scout on ahead whilst skipping stones to pass the time
-Everything was good until it wasn't
-The entire garden ambushed the team
