I've been too busy with client work to do any finished art lately, so here are some recent warmups and WIPs 🐈
And then there's Herbert Ace, who is Boris' arch-rival at school. He's from a very upper class family, and he's a Machiavellian kid who's clever and deceitful. He's also no stranger to bragging. Few people have seen what's under that eyepatch...
The eldest brother, Vinnie Turpen, is incredibly outgoing, cocky, and playing his guitar loudly in the Plague Boys. He calls himself a punk, in terms of both fashion and attitude. He's also got a mouth full of sharp teeth, which he's extremely proud of.
The middle brother, Gregory Turpen, is an odd, assuming teenager who rarely speaks. But he does have the strange ability to speak to rats, so you'll see him communicating with rats more than his own brothers! He's the drummer in the Plague Boys.
Here are Boris and Lucy's neighbours, a family with three kids. The youngest is Max Turpen, a callous, pretentious boy with a strange penchant for smoking. The brothers have a band, the Plague Boys, and Max is the singer. He's often found bossing his older siblings around.
This is Boris V., who lives in a place deep underground called Tartarus. He's quite a child prodigy, and he's a very mature, thoughtful boy. He might look a little mean, but he's probably the most well-adjusted kid in town.
This is King Louis XV (based off the real person), an unlikely friend of Marlon's. He's a gentle person who is simultaneously bored and perplexed by the monarch's life he now leads. In fact, he's rather go hunting or study botany than engage in his royal duties.
The final member of the Squatter gang is Colin Hunt, a football hooligan through and through. He lives and breathes for his team, West Ham. He's brash, compulsive, and excitable... just about what you'd expect!
Then there's Peter Smith, who's a loud-mouthed, neurotic student from up north. He's contemptuous and sarcastic, and thinks he's better than everyone else because he listens to new wave.
