The exedra tomb on the Via dei Sepolcri in #Pompeii that inspired Sir Alma-Tadema for his "An Exedra" painting.

Mosaic with four doves drinking from a gilt-bronze vessel, from Hadrian's Villa. Probably a copy of Sosus' work, a Greek mosaic artist of the 2nd century BC. The mosaic is made of thousands of small tesserae called opus vermiculatum, the most sophisticated mosaic technique.

Wall painting from #Pompeii depicting Medea shortly before murdering her children (62-79 AD). Discovered in the peristilium (colonnade with garden) of the House of the Dioscuri in Pompeii in 1824-1825.
