Here's a solemn Kappa to reflect much sadness as I (along with many) will be returning to school soon. Do not be upset tho because while Kappa may have been sad in episode 40, he ended up kissing Siren in episode 41, so we just gotta push through the hard times to get to the good

It was impossibly hard picking a favorite panel from episode 38, I mean, it's arguably my favorite cohesive episode yet (if episode 41 didn't have the most pure scenes ever), but I really love this scene; really encapsulates everything I've been saying about Siren lately

I'm using this as an analogy for parents that don't accept their kids for who they are...but let's stop being real for a sec and talk about some gay fish!!! Kappa and Siren are both such unselfish characters; they would both risk their lives for the other and it's precious ;-;

When I first decided I was going to go back through each episode and look for my favorite unposted panels, I thought I'd have hard time. But all I have learned is that almost every single panel of this series is amazing and most of them are entirely slept on, and that is on that!

I could tear apart this panel and I'm honestly ashamed I didn't consider it a favorite panel before. For one aspect solely, the look of care for each of them is different, down to the look in their eyes which really shows Wendy's ability to portray emotion that is so personal 😭

Plot Twist: Season 2 is actually just Siren and Kappa saving Nee and Kirlli because their people started a revolt when they didn't return with the beacon. What I'm looking forward to most for season 2 is just how all the characters are gonna reunite again after departing

This is a pro jamer type face right here. I love how around 50% of this chapter is solely Siren trying to get a key and I'm so enthralled every time I read it. Facial expressions really just throw you back into the action

Something that is not talked about a lot in Castle Swimmers is the fact that, curse or not, Siren dying or not, there have been countless shark casualties where situations like Skiff's are the norm. The series opened with one shark's wife just recently being killed, it's too sad

My own little personal theory if anybody is curious is I want season 2 to either open with Siren or Kappa looking for the other, but seemingly not being able to find the other who is potentially in danger. I don't wanna have Kappa in prison again, but I feel like Siren is more MC

KAPPA! You and Siren have not even kissed at this point, you need to keep this PG! Like, I'm not even going to defend this as pure, because there was no reason to just...phrase it like that lol. Still my absolute favorite panel from the episode tho and the art was amazing too!
