Grant Morrison and Klaus Janson’s Gothic storyline began in Legends of the Dark Knight #6 in March 1990. #Best90sComics
@XMen90sCovers I’ll go with X-Men Annual #1 cover. Honorable mentions to the X-Men #1 house ad and the X-Men #3 cover. #XMen
I’m curious who decided to return Jean Grey to her 60s “graduation”costume. For the record, I really like it (which appears to be an unpopular opinion). I just don’t know who gets to decide characters’ costumes. #JeanGrey #MarvelGirl #XMen
New Mutants #87, Rob Liefeld’s second issue as series penciller, came out in January 1990. His critics make valid points but Liefeld’s New Mutants run with writers Louise Simonson and Fabian Nicieza was lightning in a bottle for legions of fans. #Best90sComics
@YearOneComics Nancy #160. The cover is stamped, “September 16, 1958.” It’s very fragile but intact. I love the cover!
Nearly all of Erik Larsen’s Spider-Man comics were published in the 90s. Larsen’s singular style defined #SpiderMan for many fans in the 90s (and beyond). #Best90sComics
A big hunk of Ann Nocenti’s #Daredevil run was published in the 90s. John Romita Jr. and then Lee Weeks shine in these issues, which explore human nature and Matt’s relationship with his dad. Overall I like the 90s issues more than the earlier part of the run. #Best90sComics
