Got sidetracked when working on my current #Pricefield piece this evening. Ended up reworking this older #KateMarsh piece instead. Fixed a lot of small mistakes bugging me. Here it is, touched up and re-released:

@ScapioMoreau That's one of the reasons it's taken me this long to do a piece with Max's face in it. Gotta get them right!

Don't want to end up with freckles that come out like the paint on Victoria's face below.

First image is me working a 550% zoom (pretty normal for me). Accuracy isn't paramount because the result, in image 2, is 100% zoom where the details merge together. MUCH different to the "An Apprehensive Muse" tattoo in scale, which is how I'm finished in hours instead of days.

Like that project I'm also doing it in a more traditional painterly way by using only one layer and painting mistakes away with the other colors.

Who knew how hard it was to draw feet?
I mean, they're supposed to just be uncomplicated hands!
