Spoliarium is really impressive, but I have to say I was absolutely floored by The Death of Cleopatra, when it was showing at the Juan Luna/ Raden Saleh show in the National Gallery in Singapore. That foreshortened arm!!

Characters! They are, for the most part, based on actual people you might see walking around George Town. The rice-carrying worker actually carries 10 sacks in real life, but the prototype kept toppling over and we had to cut it to 4, sadly.
