Monogatari and Umineko really got me into the very niche concept/subgenre of: "supernatural phenomena as metaphor for dealing with debilitating mental/emotional trauma" and i couldn't be able to find many other stories that scratch that itch 🥹🙏
Koe no Katachi is a beautiful manga about the pursuit of empathy, & the attempt to understand each other more than our words can say
Stories about bullying & friendship have always been a weakness of mine cause though it wasnt too violent for me, i was quite a bullied & lonely +
Reading the LNs reminded me how much Hanekawa and Nadeko's arcs hit close, and that's also because it's portrayed how they fail to change for the better or even regress.
Real change is so hard and this makes their character arcs feel so real and satisfying i love them sm
