New painting! ‘Never better’. Oil, acrylic, spray, encaustic wax & plastic tile spacer on canvas. Complete experiment here. Totally & intentionally out of my comfort zone. Works recently have been increasingly detailed and photorealistic, so good to break with routine!

New painting ‘forest IV’ oil on canvas. Continuing expression of ideas, liking abstracted marks at bottom. Helps give depth to composition. Am posting new work nearly every day, that’s because these landscapes have to be completed in a single session before they dry.

#lockdown #day12 new daily post of new work. This is a reworking of a painting I did earlier this year. Small 10”x14” study. Added some #oldholland scheveningen rose deep to some #roberson Matt varnish. Older version also shown too.
