@calxitemight it looks like those diamond thingies are glass, it feels like someone took a look of this and genshin'ed it
even in the tweet where i posted the full piece there was already a dark skinned person who appears "brighter" because of the light, but its not 50x shades lighter either
here's an unfinished isabella piece, its not shaded as i have been strucked by art block but you can see that even with the base colors only i do not white wash or black wash.
im going to say this ISNT black washing, this is me trying to figure out the shading because the lighting consists of harsher sun tones and she's facing her back to the sun, here's the full piece
