Our Marvel Comics spotlight of the week is the 2009 Deadpool story arc Wave of Mutilation, written by Daniel Way and illustrated by @inkpulp. Following Deadpool acquiring a large sum of money, the Merc With a Mouth does what anyone else would do, set out to become a pirate.

Last year Marvel released a series of these two tone variant covers illustrated by @Michael_Cho. The variants highlighted the characters in a style that was Jack Kirby esque, yet very unique to Michael Cho at the same time.

Comic books are a great medium with stories and ideas that are limited to only the creators' imaginations. This means that they have featured some surprising, dream answering, and often head scratching, crossovers. This Saturday I'm going to look at some of these #panelteamups.

The 90's housed some truly great moments for the comic industry; Image Comics was founded, comic books hit a peak in popularity and sales, and DC published the classic Kingdom Come. It also saw Wonder Woman and Thor quit and start a heavy metal rock band together.
