Jed Mackay has done a PHENOMENAL job of handling Moon Knight’s jewishness in his run and addressing how the dichotomy of a Jewish man being “saved” by an Egyptian god is a really interesting subject.

Marc's father was a rabbi and as a result both Marc and his brother were constantly bullied for being Jewish, even to the point of being called slurs. This also partly explains why Marc was so violent. He had to defend his brother.

In this same issue we see Marc enter a burning synagogue to save anyone in there. This was the result of an antisemtic hate crime. The comic goes out of it's way to show just how much this has affected and angered marc
