Happy One Year Anniversary to becoming a full-time freelance letterer, leaving my days of juggling 2 jobs & 80-hour weeks behind me. It's been a challenging rookie year, but getting to work on Marvel books is a dream come true and I feel grateful every day that I chose this path.

I think this counts as a personal best week: four books I've lettered are out on Wednesday LCS shelves today.

I'm really happy with the work I did on each of them.

2010: I started fiddling around with Adobe Illustrator while reading online tutorials about comic book lettering.

2020: I quit my day job to become to join Virtual Calligraphy and letter Marvel comics.

Wish me luck! My first credited issues come out in August!

The incredible review on @monkeys_robots reminded me of how much I enjoyed working on the "Six Million Dollar Man" miniseries w/ @drhastings @David_Hahn @artofroshan @NateCosBOOM.

The cave scene in Nancy Drew #2 is one of my favorite spreads to letter: 3 pages of script, 13 panels, 1 double-page spread.

I removed the text due to spoilers but the point is that I wanted to show how comics lettering means constantly thinking about placement, rhythm, & flow.
