While I'm still fond of the circle design and I feel like there were definitely advantages to it, I don't regret moving away from it. There was something "missing" from it; like it was a level of abstraction too far from what I wanted in the character
one of the earliest pics I have of Thom (from approx 1998) shows he used to have a muzzle; i dropped that for a more stylised circular look in about 2009. REZQ started as an idea in about 2011. I made a REZQ Thom ref sheet in 2013
