For all that I draw of nature, I realized that I was missing one of its most fundamental aspects: death.

It’s as important to a blooming aster as the sun is, and for whatever reason I had never represented it with an illustration.

Botany is the coolest and I just had to share.

Been so long since I’ve been able to sit down and draw that I can’t help but feel self-conscious. I’m not sure what to do with it! I suppose I’ll watch some tv show and draw my way through this.

I roped in 16 bumblebees this past hitch! Not too bad for my first hitch as a field technician for the USGS!

Do they make bumblebee belt buckles I wonder?
