Been thinking of what pokemon some people would have and I think an eevee would be fitting for Briar. The natu aren’t even hers; they’re just drawn to her.

Briar got them in an accident as a child involving a wolf. She learned the hard way what trying to be a hero gets you. They're a constant reminder of her shortcomings and Briar is very self-conscious about them.
