Part of fire dragon culture is to paint themselves. It can either be for a soldier's or wealthy dragon's. With various marking having different meanings. Some soldier dragons use certain colors to show ranks.

I wanna see these two fight

So the bandage on Tulip/Tinker is covering up her tattoo of Lord Hades cult insignia. She joined him to leave her previous life and was promised a bunch of old robots and tech. She willingly got tattooed and joined him but left shortly after seeing what a horrible person he is.

Random character fact: Tulip/Tinker almost always has her goggles on to the point where others think she looks weird when they're off

Random fact about my world:

It's implied the pre apocalypse Government tried to weaponize poison dragon's. With various experiments and prototype equipment found in a old secret military base after the apocalypse.
The group even finds a prototype corpse of weaponized dragon.
