The Rabbids from Ubisoft’s “Rayman” series were once going to be turned into murderous aliens for the cancelled game “Killer Freaks From Outer Space”.
The game eventually became “ZombiU”, with the Killer Freak being relegated to an easter egg, appearing as plushies in a store.
Banjo from the “Banjo-Kazooie” franchise and Conker the Squirrel from “Conker’s Bad Fur Day” made their first ever playable debuts not in their own game franchises, but rather in 1997’s “Diddy Kong Racing”.
Ryu and Chun-Li from Capcom’s “Street Fighter” franchise were added to “Power Rangers: Battle for the Grid” as DLC on May 25, 2021.

“Archie Meets the Punisher” was a one-shot crossover comic published jointly by Marvel Comics and Archie Comics in 1994.

“Joker/Mask” was a four-issue crossover comic series published by both DC Comics and Dark Horse Comics in 2000.

“Batman/FaZe Clan” is a crossover comic series that sees DC Comics’ Batman teaming up with members of the esports gaming organization, FaZe Clan, in order to defeat the Riddler.
“Shovel Knight: Shovel of Hope” featured unique guest characters depending on the console the game was being played on.
Kratos from the “God of War” series can be fought in the PS versions, and the Battletoads from the franchise of the same name are fought in the Xbox versions.
