JT wanted another Barong Tagalog, one that wasn't an heirloom piece, that he could wear without worrying over it too much. This one's design is much simpler, and it's made of less precious materials, but still looks good, yeah?

Mas y Manos - Mas is usually the one taking initiative in their dynamic, forceful and aggressive and strong as she is. It takes a long time before JT is confident enough to initiate himself, and it's a very different sort of assertiveness, slower but no less intense or confident.

"Mas y Manos" was a popular Buddy Cop TV Show, but did you know that it was a movie first? While the film had a stronger thriller theme than the TV show eventually would, it helped established the characters Masurao (Mas) and Jagged-Tooth (Manos) and their strange relationship.

Because @thequeenviking was egging me on, JT gets gussied up, like his dad and War before him. Idk wanted to emphasize his slender dorito shape. The flashy shirt is covered w/ Temple symbols, btw.
