Pixel art process - Sumo

Apparently sumo evolved from a Shinto harvest dance, and was fought to the death until the Middle Ages. Neat. #pixelart #ドット絵

Samurot- I googled the word and apparently it's a pokemon, but makes much more sense as an undead samurai. #pixelart

This dark magician is bit more straight-forward than the previous WIP animations, it pays to figure out your pose in the beginning of the process. #pixelart

I haven't been posting as much lately because I'm planning a big move from Tennessee to Oregon! But I'm still making pixel art, so here are a few recent sprites.

I usually have to do a lot more problem-solving with the pose, but since I was working from a single reference, this sprite had a pretty straight-forward development.

Another commissioned sprite, this one might be my favorite so far. Mostly based on a still of Jean Claude Van Damme from Bloodsport. I've got WIP steps for all of these I can turn into GIFs later, if'n you'd like.
