The more detailed shading is cool, but it takes so long. I need to practice with more simplified approaches, for speed, and also because it's a lot harder to hide that I don't understand form when the shapes are simple.

Really happy with how the rendering is coming along.

@Writing_Spartan @Halo @HaloUNTD I make Halo art (and cosplay, but mostly focusing on drawing currently). Right now I’m trying to work on some short Halo comics.

One of my favorite Halo artists is @TexD41.

I also get a lot of inspiration drom @Rookie_425 ‘s SFM characters and scenes.

Redrawing this. I kind of like the composition of the phantasm from the old piece a bit more though, feels more dynamic. Andrea’s face is much better in the redo though, and the phantasm design looks a little more slick.

@sangheili1216 It’s based off the Halo Wars 2 sniper drone but I’ll have to look at that camera drone now!

For comparison, here’s two pieces I did at the beginning of our lesson.

Grace helped me work on getting clearer forms, and also helped a lot with studying composition.

Most importantly, she emphasized techniques I could use to apply in self study now that lessons have ended.
