I just want to again thank the creative team behind this graphic novel. From Sarah Kuhn, Nicole Goux, and everyone else on making still the best 2020 story I've read this year.

Though one has to wonder if it was intentional or not how close Jackie and her sister mirror Sandra/Carolyn Wu-San. It seems it was unintentional but--- when the top Lady Shiva fan sees it too, you just have to wonder.

Which she does. Like literally, Jackie just fits so darn perfectly in the Cass themes so well, and her sass is just soooooo good! If there's a sequel, we know where the Cass sass will come from. 😋

But this little guy is also very endearing to Cass, and I'm surprised more writers didn't try this before with her having pets. Like literally the only times we got Cass with a pet was Convergence: Batgirl, and well-- just this year too with DCeased Unkillables.

Can I just say of how much of a game artist Nicole Goux puts this little fella all over Cass's area once they're introduced? Like I could cover an entire post on the various appearances of this cute one, and it should be a game on where this mouse is throughout the series.

The thing I love about this graphic novel is how it really lays it all out on how Cass came to Babs, and how the latter became a mentor figure for the former. It's the one step you wish there was more to. How one came into the other's life.

Alright, let's delve back into Shadow of the Batgirl and the various themes it covers or streamlined with Cass.
