The antenna helps to express Neeko’s emotions without need to talk (dog tail), it will help to communicate gameplay too, so the player can read what will happen, also needed to create an unique silhouette to differentiate her in isometric.(I always do that,Pykejaw, xayahfeather)
Source of #magic exploration! Wanted a feral feeling but #Neeko needed to be a range champion, so no things like claws, or melee ways to attack (chameleon tongue was too close to #TahmKench).Her hands are sticky (gecko like) with a thick magic film creating a slingshot to shoot.
