Given the way Japanese is sometimes taught to English speakers, when I hear an explanation for how something grammatically works in Japanese, I am immediately suspicious.

I've learned that Google translate potentially gets confused about the audio if you put two kanji together that don't form a word, and have multiple kun readings.
I put 指指 in ("yubi yubi", quoting Korone), and while the text is translated fine, the audio becomes "sashi sashi".
iOS Photos apparently has something where if you press down on an element in a photo, it tries to make an isolated selection of that thing, and you can then save that as an image with transparency, and now I just want to try it out with various images?
