@fr0g_e_s0up it just depends. kimono isn't a sacred or religious garment necessarily, so as long as you're wearing them casually there's no hard and fast rules on how it should look. obviously it gets stricter the more formal you go, but there's plenty examples of being purely aesthetic

granted it's way more common in anime/games/virtual idols, but I absolutely wouldn't be surprised if something like this ended up on their moodboard and they just lacked the foresight to question it
