These are the same kind of film.
Bizarre mainstream films that are pretty surprisingly competently made except do the reprehensible dialogue.
(Specifically dialogue too because the editing, directing and general plotting is pretty okay in both).

It’s honeslty so hard to not root for Anita Pallenberg in Barbarella.

I like how much Knives Out drew from SLEUTH (1972) and I especially loved how much Glass Onion drew from THE LAST OF SHEILA (1973).
