Animated Crisis on Infinite Earths, but the only difference at the end is that these two switched places.

The "he was 10" defense, while understandable, isn't that great. Gwen was also 10 and was so much more tolerable than Ben. You can write young protagonists without having them be the most insufferable person of the main cast.
