Lots of unnecessary misunderstandings, but w/o them, this story would be v. short 😅

I didn't think to say it during our My Hero Academia episode of @mangasplaining - but is this manga attempt to draw an 'American superhero' kind of like when US how-to-draw-manga books try to draw "manga girls" and it looks... like this?

FWIW, it’s a shame that the outrage about the return of the Rising Stars of Manga contest overshadows some of their new & recently announced manga titles that actually sound pretty promising.

@totalhenry @omnicollector Im not saying that it’s impossible. In recent years, we got Rose of Versailles from @UdonEnt, Kamen Rider and Devil Man from @gomanga & Fist of the North Star & Jojo’s from @VIZMedia. Given how well manga is doing now, more risk-taking is possible. It’s just not available yet.

@omnicollector @totalhenry Yeah. It’s a most wanted manga license but it’s a long, older series. Maybe someday in English, but it’s available in French from Glenat
