Tho, French / German / Italian / spanish manga readers - correct me if i’m not quite seeing the whole picture, but it feels like the English market has more Korean comics, light novels and BL/GL manga… true? Not true?

It’s helpful to remember that Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure was in a similar situation. The first editions didn’t sell that well, so it was left in licensing limbo for a long time. Then the anime started 10+ yrs later & it found its audience https://t.co/oD4Au8oN8H

If/when announces these two from Ai Yazawa or if Nana resumes, that will be *big* news. There’s a retrospective art exhibit opening soon in Tokyo, so maybe?

With the manga market in N. America enjoying stronger sales than ever, AND a manga readership that is maturing/is ready to support these works by purchasing them, "classics" have a better chance than ever to get official English releases, but it's still not a sure thing.
