since i lost half this thread i'm tired but here's a cool thing to note: riku's heart station is actually an altered version of his CoM merch!
cards have been deleted for an empty hand and the heart symbol, meaning that is either riku's symbol or symbolic to him.

this can be applied to ven and vanitas's shared station, as well as ven's by itself (from bbs and kh3). but this is a bit more complex.

both stations are showing their origins in the keyblade graveyard, vanitas's birthplace & ven's history (both as pupil to xehanort & khux lore)

we can clearly see that heart stations are reflections of a person's life: the islands as his background, his crown necklace around the edges, & 4 spots filled with his friends; donald, goofy, kairi & riku.

note that other important people (ven, namine & roxas) are not there

sora's heart station is never shown in the original kingdom hearts. it wasn't even shown in chain of memories! but it /was/ shown in kingdom hearts 2 (& after) both in the intro & during roxas's dive to sora's heart during the fight in the sandlot.

i'll use the sandlot example.
