Here’s the original color thumb I did for this a few months ago, and just recently got around to finishing it! I love doing these keys, I find I work out most of the difficulties in the painting at this stage, and then can focus just on mark-making and edge quality!
I've been really wanting a real OC! She spends most of her time in her undersea workshops, and only comes ashore to the human world to gather ingredients. Her magical cloak transforms into eagle-ray fins!

One more weird cat study because I wanted to try something more extreme with the colors.
I wanted to push the light to be more how it feels in person, when the brightness makes your eyes a bit blurry, and you can only focus on one spot at a time
