Maki Yōko, one of Ribon magazine’s most popular artists, has announced her retirement in Ribon’s August issue following the conclusion of her hit series Kirameki no Lion Boy 😭💔 She’s captured the hearts of so many shoujo manga fans with her work in the 20 years of her career.

Maki Yōko’s hit series Kirameki no Lion Boy (Sparkly Lion Boy) ends with a farewell cover of Miwa and her ‘shoujo manga prince’ Kiriatsu & the final chapter in the August issue of Ribon. And it's a farewell to Maki Yōko as well - she's just announced her retirement 😧💔

Rion, protagonist of Kisaragi Yukino's Banken Inu (King & Watchdog Girl) is the cover girl of Ciao's August issue which also features new fashion model series Kirameki Runway by Fujita Hasumi. The first volume of Banken Inu is in stores with the 2nd volume to follow on August 1.

The Flowers August issue is out with Kinuta Murako’s campus comedy Suuji de Asobo. on the cover, a Poe no Ichizoku exhibition guide, a report from the BM Manga exhibition by Hagio Moto, Tamura Yumi’s detective series Mystery to Iu Nakare & news on the 7 SEEDS Netflix anime.

Konari Misato’s award-winning series Nagi no Oitoma is on the August cover of Akita Shoten’s josei manga magazine Elegance Eve. It also comes with an extra volume of "Elegance Even mini" with 2 Nagi spin-offs which appear in print for the first time (previously digital-only).

And it's a student council meeting for volume 3 ✨ All of these covers have been newly drawn by Yazawa Ai. Volumes 1-3 of the Tenshi Nanka Ja Nai collector's edition will be in stores June 25. The remaining vols. 4+5 will follow on July 25, with cover artwork to be revealed soon.

With June 25 getting closer, the artwork for the remaining 2 of the first 3 vols. of the Tenshi Nanka Ja Nai collector's edition have been revealed. The illustration of the 2nd volume featuring Midori & Mamirin was already revealed in April when this edition was announced 🏫

And then there's also a brand new collection of Miyuki Mitsubachi one-shots out today (June 20). Hadaka no Banri-kun features 4 stories of the romantic kind. I guess in this case it's not wrong to judge a book by its cover (& title) ☀️🌡️

The very summery cover of Hana to Yume #14 features Miyuki Mitsubachi's Namaiki Zakari (🇫🇷 Cheeky Love, Delcourt). The magazine also comes with a sheet of cute masking stickers for the series and contains the last chapter of Kusunoki Kaoru's Kaguya-hime no Kakushigoto.
