Add a background as suits yer fancy.
Not much but it's gotta look like it complements your art. Black with a tinge o' blue always works.
Next, we flair it up by copyin' the finished product and shifting it a bit to look like an old 3d movie. You kids ever see any o' those.
Terrified me as a kid I tell ya.
Next: Maskin. So create a new layer and enable clipping or make it a masking layer or something. If you have the ability to make it act like light then do that.
Color the shit out of it. Use cooler colors for the shade and warmer ones for the light.
Next we go onta the shadin'.
Don't be shy. Start with the primary color (darks in this case) and shade as appropriate. Working in monotones can help you get your bearin's.
