theyre a shitty rushed attempt to create an alternative to robots.they dont speak, their hands are barely able to use tools and without their backpacks they’re as smart as a monkey and prone to seizures.
people born on mars are perfectly adapted to the conditions there, many couldn't go to earth even if they wanted to, and the ones from earth take pride on this,making their suits and tools heavy to be able to move in the same way than on earth (and keep martians from using them)
