Watercolour, fine liner and Brusho. If watercolour is unpredictable, then Brusho is manic!! I like what it’s done to describe the bands of dark seaweed
Smaller than usual and not entirely successful but loved the shadow
Thank you Les for suggesting some mixed media work on this full sheet painting. I’ve brought inktense sticks and oil pastels out of mothballs and having a wonderful time scribbling and daubing. Some areas are looking ok.
@lgvd Throwing in some other mediums now. Having great fun whatever the outcome
@PennyCo92742432 It’s a cheap water jug but I did paint a Pyrex !!😂
Day 2. Some strengthening of tones keeping the lost edges in place. Getting towards to difficult but.
@Ellen_Friedman I really hope it’s ok to suggest a few things. Other artists may well disagree ! I am hopeless with digital art but it was just a case of strengthening the foreground tones . Leaving the background muted to bring the foreground forward.
‘Second eye of the Mackerel’ Half sheet watercolour on Saunders Waterford paper. As ever, bits I like more than others.
Bit by bit I’ve lost some and gained some. At some point I’ll return to strengthen some mid tones. Watercolour on Saunders Waterford CP paper
