The mechanics often don’t start by just sitting down and writing. Often, they start by me playing a character with the disability and building as I go.
This is my Phantom Rogue. She has hEDS. And she’s how I’ve started developing a base for hEDS #dnd mechanics.
I’ll be playing Saint of Death tomorrow on @InitiativeOrder’s stream! I fully intend to pull together a cosplay for her soon, for now I have the chronic tired eyes and black lipstick down.
Here’s another depiction of Saint, artwork by our usual NPC artist Jeneca 🖤
Introducing: Blocking Cloak!
This mimic takes the form of a normal cloak, and is highly attuned to the wearer’s feelings. If anyone gets too close, and the wearer is stressed, the mimic will lash out to startle and force people to keep their distance. Will bite if needed. #dnd5e
Introducing: Cane Mimic!
This mimic can adjust its height for the user, and in a pinch, will more than eagerly create dangerous spikes for an attack.
Usable with Chronic Pain mechanics, having this mimic mobility aid will allow you to remove -1 from the roll! *
Llewellyn, a disabled NPC with #ChronicFatigueSyndrome, is now available for free on our website. This sleepy Aasimar is ready to show up in any one shot or campaign!

New disabled NPC - Terrance Tangletwig!
Terrance is a Circle of Wildfire druid. Her people have guarded this ancient forest for as long as any of them can remember, and they believe in embracing the “destructive” and dangerous side of nature as well as the good and nurturing.
This is Althaia! She is a Fallen Aasimar rogue/warlock.
Althaia is autistic.
What that means for her (she’s only 2!) is mainly a lack of social understanding, as well as intense meltdowns, and some sensory struggles.
I just want to take a moment to shout out our amazing NPC artist @jenecawrites!
They’ve done such amazing work bringing our characters to life. These, and definitely many more to come! Jeneca is such a wonderful person and we’re just thrilled to be working with them 💗
