@lizzieamyknott Hello, I'm a queer illustrator and very comfortable with drawing people :)

Hey #PortfolioDay! Here to share my work as a cartoonist and illustrator :) I create art and stories about queer romance, horror and damaged people

Jen Wang, more specifically The Prince & The Dressmaker. Again, love a traditional inker, and she also uses brushes for her lines, which gives them a lovely boldness and variation. She does this for her panels too, which made me realise I don't need mine to be ruler-straight
A slightly different one in that this is an artist collective, but CLAMP was also a big influence. I loved their gorgeous costume designs and the long, flowing limbs of the characters
To me, Emily Carroll is one of the best horror comic artists in the field. Her horror comics were the first to actually chill me, and I love the beautiful flow of her speech bubbles and text, as well as her page compositions
One of the first artists who had an impact on me was Tony DiTerlizzi. I loved how his fairy character designs referenced real life plants and animals, to create fairies and mermaids that weren't just humans with insect wings or fish tails, but something entirely new and unique
@McKelvie Horror and gothic ghosts/mysteries are my jam, so if you're looking for an artist, I'd love to be considered

Also, a comic comparison! Back when I was still an almost completely traditional artist and watercolours were my primary medium.
The one on the left is a project I did for my Foundation Art course. Even then I still had a love for painting blood 😅#SkillNotTalent
