1989:
After the crisis Wonder Woman was no longer a seasoned hero so in her stead was the second Black Canary as a founding member, while Batman and Superman were omitted. The original origin was mostly kept intact despite the change.
@TimophyDrake It's wild that Henry's suit is the only one to really translate that look from the comics well, it always (to me at least) looked like it was clipped onto the shirt rather than folded under the collar.
What's ridiculous about that is that there are scene in All Star Superman that are huge fight sequences with massive collateral damage, and there's scenes in MoS where he goes out of his way to offer a compassionate hand to strangers. https://t.co/JNwtrlceJF
@CQuill97 This is taking This is being

@SSilkSpectre @hellblazzrr What's funny is that while the "I believe you" moment is very clearly taken from DKR, it also heavily resembles a moment in canon wherin Batman kills a terrorist in an explosion. to protect an innocent life.
I don't think any of these designs are necessarily cool or intimidating, but they're all beautiful reinterpretations of the classic look that each fit the world they're in.
I don't mean to imply there's anything wrong with lifting dialogue, Snyder and Terrio did it too, there's lines and lines from All Star Superman, Dark Knight Returns, and Birthright in Man of Steel and BvS. It's just a bit much sometimes.
@BionicleBot It's weird, I kinda appreciate how the bionicles have a different aesthetic in each medium. Each are clearly using the toys as inspiration but they execute what that should look like a little differently.
@Mickouse5 @RealLyndaCarter @DCComics A bisexual character inspired (and possibly ghost co-written) by two women on the kink scene in a bisexual polyamorous relationship with the creator, hailing from an island of only women?
Perish the thought.
People have brought up this scene because an Irish actor has now played the Joker, just wanted to say I think the BTAS version is funnier 🤷♀️
