The King
This is a personified chess piece, inspired by the likes of race-driven fantasy games like Warcraft. I have a few Kings and Queens made in a variety of styles, so I might dust them off and post a couple other variants. Between them, this is my favourite design.
Sprite
With this design, I wanted to make the pesky fairy trope better at making the creature look visually more mischievous. I want to add more detail to its body in a future design, but I think that it currently gets the point across.
Siren
This is another side of my character work. When I do enough of the JRPG-inspired art, I like to go for a more sullen aesthetic. This version of the siren is part leech, rather than part fish. This motif puts a desperate tint on the original idea of a siren.
The last bit of Pokémon #fanart for a while is Swinub! I actually want to do more simple ones like this.
The hardest part was looking at this Pokémon's measurements and judging how big the hand would be. If you'd pet a Swinub, give me some thoughts on who else you'd pet.
Spogre
We've seen the sentient mushroom again and again, and this one version of what I have come up with. Those two holes were intended to be nostrils, but they also look a little like eyes. What do you see?
Today's #fanart is Golurk, from the Pokémon series! This just might be one of my favourites. I really got to appreciate all the details that went into Golurk's design when I was drawing this one, especially since Golems (Not that one) are a fantasy creature I appreciate so much.
Mimic
We've seen these kinds of creatures appear in all kinds of media. You'll see a treasure chest, your curiosity will be peaked, and you'll be pleasantly surprised with rows of teeth. That's the common interpretation, but this reclusive beast will stand up and spring away.
Another #fanart post with the Requiem Pokémon, Duskull!
This was another case of me experimenting with a simple background. I love a lot of Ghost-Types for a lot of reasons, but this one building on the more basic ghost mythos in design is important to me too.
Time for some more #fanart with Drifblim, from the Pokémon series! I didn't put many backgrounds in these pieces, but I tried the same wind effect as I did with my OC Fluphyr a while ago. Maybe going for white streaks as wind like Pokémon Diamond/Pearl did would have been neat.
Yet another piece of Pokémon #fanart with this drawing of the Fire/Ground-Type Camerupt! I have a lot of fanart to post here, and I'm doing it in order, but this is my favourite one I've done. It might be worth putting a few of my drawings into the same scene.
